Xin Nian Kuai Le!!!! its the time of the year again to collect angpaus =) weee~!!! i just finish eating the reunion dinner with my family...im gonna share a few things with u guys about my chinese new year..

here's a few things that are "must-haves" for my house during Chinese New Year..

Christmas Market, Germany

one of the best thing when i was in germany was the christmas markets.. =) its really beautiful to experience christmas this way! everyone in the cities are enjoying it..its something like our 'bazaar ramadhan' but this is very nice and not so much food..but more of the handicrafts...im a handmade lover so i really could spend days checking them out!!! ahhhh!! and lots of money gone since all the things are too lovely to resist!!! =P

a month in germany: regensburg

i was sent to Germany for a month for training...thanks to my office for this great experience..very fun filled and of coz knowledgeable...my flight there was approximately 13 hours plus excluding transit!! =P i flew from kuala lumpur to amsterdam and then to munich.. =) thanks to klm, deutsch airline...if u guys have been reading my blog..im sure u guys realize i love to take pictures..and this is a month!! soo i have TONS to pictures..so enjoy...these post will be all about regensburg..

the journey there was long..but worth the wait! =)

hmmm...it took me quite sometime to really sit and think what my resolutions should be..and i finally can think of 5 main ones...hopefully i can stick on to it!!!!

i wanna finish the whole bible this year! =)

2011 has been a great year..but this resolution stays!

i have been independent for 8 months and it feels great! =)

this has been forever my resolution!! gosh!!

2012 needs to be the last year for it!!!!!

i am not aiming to be slim like a model..but at least fit n healthy!!!

last week my church cell group had an outing to Port Dickson...it was sooo much FUN!!!! =D we played in the sand and also barbeque!! weeee~!

our outing started at noon with lunch at 'chi ma kai'..somewhere near upm..den it was time to start our 90 minutes journey to PD...vroooom!!!! and we finally found a great mini pondok or you can call it hut.. =P that was our territory for the day..hehe...

the time to run and pray for our nation is back!!! this time i am totally not prepared..haha...comparing to 2009! hahaha...this time its the same..5km!! ahhhh! =P wondering how this works?? my team starts from bukit jalil lrt..running or jogging right to bukit jalil school..along the way..we need to pray for a list of things..like education system, media, government and many more!! *panting and praying* hahahaha =D

last sunday..hans isaac..sounds familiar? he is a producer and actor in our country's film industry!! =) he is planning to produce a movie and his crew decided to 'rent' my office for shooting!! wow! so those who were single..haha..were asked to take care of the office during weekends..of coz with some allowance =P besides making sure all the things in the office were not destroyed or misplaced..im actually having a lot of fun seeing how a movie is produced =)

on the 23-25 sept 2011, there was a horse carnival at the turf club near to mines shopping center..i went there on sunday after church! weeee~! there were many horses of coz..hahah...and oso some cute craft sales.. =) since this is a back dated post..i will jus let it be a pictoblog..hahaha...

last week..two of my colleagues chose to work in another company..both have helped me a lot tru out the 4 months im in the company..they have made me very comfortable with the company's technical system and of coz the technical and engineering side of my job scope! =) they were very patient explaining each and every detail which was very confusing to me..and thanks to them i got confirmed..hehe..and now they are leaving? OH NO! but i wish them all the best!!! i know they will excel wherever they choose to be =)

i think his flight back to germany is today!!

last day in sabah...oh no!! it was definitely hard to leave such a great vacation and know that when im back in kuala lumpur..the reality of all the work load is gonna sink in..oh no!!!!

for the last day..we din go around much..we went to places around our hotel only...waterfront was our 1st place...love the sea breeze..thank God it was high tide..so there was not smelly muddy smell.. =)

or is it a lobster?? hehe...

after that..we went to the famous wet market..along the main road to jesselton..bought ikan bilis (anchovies) there...its really cheap..big big ones..1kg for only RM15!!! =) since we stil had time b4 our flight..we went to Center Point Mall...its something like subang jaya's summit mall..hahaha...kinda dead..hehe..

~day trip to manukan island~

today is the day i am most excited in the whole 5 days of my vacation in sabah...i went for an island trip!!! woohoo!!! remember the 'sarong' i bought during my 2nd day in sabah? for sure i wore it!!! weeee~!

around 8am..we arrived at the jetty..i was quite worried because the tide was high and the waves were rough..and i get seasick very quickly..urgh!!! =( so made all the arrangements at the jetty..its about 30 ringgit to get from jesselton jetty to manukan island..this includes the boat ride and also the tax..its a must to pay!! oh ya..this price is only for malaysian..not quite sure for tourist..sorry!

the guy at the counter managed to convince me to try out their new water sport..since i never did it b4..i gave it a GO! wooohooo! =) its RM70 per person...very worth it for the get adventure..

after about 30 minutes of ride..on a speed boat ya..not fly fish..haha..i finally arrived at manukan!!! weee~!! the water was not very clear..due to the terrible waves..but at the other end where we snorkelled was very clear!! =) so if ur planning to go..find the rite spot! =P

its the 3rd day in sabah..and i did some adventures activities..hehe... =) from kundasang we went to kinabalu park..not sure what part of sabah is that..hehe..mebbe ranau =P from the hotel i stayed last nite..Perkasa Hotel Resort & Spa..it was really beautiful and the view was awesome!

we woke up early to ensure we could see the peak..

if its too late it will b covered by mist! =(

after breakfast..off we went to kinabalu park..what i was really looking forward was the hot spring..but wen we arrived..our guide was telling us about this really long and high up hanging bridge..i was imagining a simple one in my mind..so we agreed to his plan..GOSH! it was a long hike up to the bridge..panting! sweating! oh dear! if i knew..i wont wanna climb.. =/

after about 40 mins of hiking..walking and struggling..haha..im finally back to the starting point..phew! time to soak in the hot spring!! its very hygienic here..each group have ur own tub..after ur done..change the water! =)

on the 2nd day of my trip in kota kinabalu..i travelled for 5 hours from kota kinabalu town to kundasang..its time to get closer to the trees, flowers and breathe the fresh air..hahha =P i dun do that often in kl..haha..if i breathe deeply the air..i mite b totally poluted..hahaha =D

this is the hotel i stayed for my 1st nite...

after about 2 to 3 hours of journey..we stopped by at a market..bought some key chains there as well as nite beach 'sarong' for my island trip..hehe..

dong!!! hahaha..they had these at a market =P

i bought fruits too..refreshing! the journey continues...after a nap..we finally arrived at kinabalu park..time to say hello to God's wonderful creations =)

i was not so shock to see idzwan as i saw him back in 2009 for my 21st bday..but wen i saw fikri..gosh!! i was definitely shocked! he is very prosperous n healthy compared to back then..haha.. =P but im so glad that there were no awkward silent moments which means our frenship has not taken a break!! yay!!! =)

idzwan is now back in newcastle..im looking forward to meeting him n fikri again the next time which i dont know wen yet..but im sure wen he comes back..its a must to meet up!! =) all the best in ur studies both of u!! =)

my bestie of 13 years is back in malaysia!!!!

this means its time to meet up, chit chat and enjoy the frenship....

after spending 2 nights in my kl house..it was time to go back to penang together..since her trip to kl was last minute..i already bought bus tickets back to penang to visit her..so no matter wat..still go back lor..hehe...after work on friday..we left together back to penang... =) i had a great time with her in kl..having dinners together and catching up at night after work in my room! it was fun!! so im definitely looking forward to goin back to penang..our lovely island together..

the next day we met up..she came to pick me..she is no longer that good in her direction sense..haha =P i remember those days wen i dun need to tell her where to turn at all..haha..we decided to go to straits quay..kinda new mall i think..hehe...

my dear fren wen lin invited me to a mini session on awareness on world vision's objectives...before this session all i knew was they helped people in rural areas who are really poor n malnutrition...

we started off with a 'get to know' session

we were supposed to ask 5 odd questions to different people

i was the winner!! i got to know 9 frens..YAY!

we den played station games

here..we were put in difficult situations like

1) a pregnant mother with a kid and virus in the air

(the child died even before schooling)

2) a child with virus and only surviving on potatoes

(the child died before age 4)

this is another role play of station games with another 'family'

we were briefed by wen lin the co-ordinator on what the kids are suffering in the world now

i felt bad for not knowing it earlier...

we den had to do a small presentation on different topics

my team was about how the government can help these kids =)

wish i can share my team's points with our gov!!

the awesome people who are now aware!! hehe

hello kids...we will keep u guys in prayer!! =)

i wanna keep a ringgit a day for these kids!

its finally time to say goodbye to Medan..but our flights are only at night..so we could stil have lots of fun for the day..hehe..today's itinery is more on shopping and holy visitations...

our 1st stop is the buddhist temple..

i was a little disturb by the physical structure..

very different compared to the usually churches we see..hmmm..

after tried being hot in the sun..its time to go for some shopping..we stopped at medan mall..its only 10% of mid valley i think..hmmm...we only took 2 hours to have lunch and walked tru all the shops there..can u believe it?? its not really a mall i think..should me medan hypermart...haha! =D

after lunch..it was time to enjoy a lovely spa treatment..i had aromatherapy with lulur and a bubble bath!! awesome relaxation!! and something silly happened..by masseur was very strong..i was kinda suffering with the strength she was massaging me..so i screamed 'kurang kuat'..suddenly she put more pressure..gosh!! my bones lady!! so i screamed louder..n finally she realize i meant 'kurangi kuat'..gosh!! jus and 'I' can make a whole lot of meaning!! hahahha =P

sorry for this really late post..i have been very busy in my little working world.. =( ok so here is the continuation of my medan trip..my 2nd day in medan is way more fun than the first day..so im really happy!!! =) since yesterday we had an early night..so we woke up really early as well..

once we had our breakfast..it was time to continue our journey..im going to cruise on lake toba..weee~!! gonna b so interesting...can u imagine many many years ago..lake toba was actually a volcano..gosh!! must b really HUGEEE!

its the time of the year that i LOVEEEE! time to go for a vacation...weeee~!!! this time i went to medan..wondering wats horas?? its like 'apa khabar' or 'hello' =) HORAS!! hehe...

i arrived medan at 8.30am (medan time) and my bro will only come at 9.30am..so i decided to have breakfast..hungry!!

since im in indonesia..of coz indomie is on my list!!

once my brother arrived..we decided to go for city tour on the last day..so we went straight to parapat..the journey was BUMP, BOUNCE, ROCK, ROW!! dun worry..all that was done in a van..the roads were full of holes!! gosh!

finally after all the bouncing..its time for lunch

we stopped by restaurant simpang tiga.. =)

ever thought of a new way to recycle..nokia tot me something new..its not only paper, plastics and aluminium...we can recycle our PHONES!!! but dun worry..its not ur brand new phone..but ur rosak phone!! =P they were actually having the recyclimpics the 1st week of july at mid valley..n i was there!! lucky me! =)

a very very great cause!!

i now know wat to do with my rosak phones rather than throwing in the busuk bin..hehe

i love this idea..

recycle a phone, adopt a tree!!

look at mr recycled phone..hehe..

i was surprised to see my 1st phone in 2006 there!

its like a collection of all nokia phones from the 1st they ever invented =)

its time to meet the regional sales managers..its gonna b my first time meeting some of those i talked to on the phone previously =) we finally decided on a place to hold this dinner..we are off to CIAO..italian food!!! yum!!

i dont really know exactly wat menu they serve because we had our private buffet..food was yummy!!! =) this will b more of a picture blog since i took many many pictures..hehe!

magical musicals 2011, sunway lagoon

yay!!! i went to a musical..im a very happy person wen watching musicals..the cheerful type! =)

MAGICAL MUSICALS was a great choice!!!

thanks to allmalaysia.info ...i watched them for free =D it was held at the sunway lagoon amphitheater..the backdrop was all about new york times square..im gonna let the pictures do the talking about how great it was!!! *screams of excitement*

we took a tram to the amphitheater

sunway lagoon was amazing at night..the lights were beautiful!

the story was mainly about these 3 couples =)

they had glow in the dark effect..nice!

can can dancing..sexy!

EXPLODE!! hehe...

the show was approximately around 90 minutes...was very entertaining... =) really grateful for the free tickets!! and sadly one of the main cast..15 minutes into the show got badly injured and rushed to the hospital..oh dear! i kinda realized one guy singing alone without the 'girlfriend' and finally the emcee of the day made it clear that she was injured..felt bad and the whole production did awesome cause i din actually realize it was a "mistake"....*applause*

we were allowed on stage once it ended..

so my photoshooting began..haha =P

my easy recipe: japanese tauhu

its monday...another recipe!!! this time its japanese tauhu...this dish is yummy if u love the tauhu n its very affordable to execute.. =)

things u need:

japanese tauhu

prawns

mince chicken

oil

oyster sauce

soy sauce

garlic

onions

carrot

the simple steps:

cut the japanese tauhu..approximately into 5 slices..dun cut it too thin to avoid it being hard once deep fried..peel the prawns..slice the carrot and dice the garlic n onions...once everything needed to be chopped is done..its time to cook!! deep fry the japanese tauhu till golden brown then set aside..fry the garlic and onions till slightly golden brown and add in the chicken and carrots...once its 80% cook..add in the prawns, oyster sauce and soy sauce and stir fry till everything is done..after taste, if too salty, add in sugar..if not..sugar is not needed.. (healthier)..hehe..now your tummies are ready to be filled!!!!

enjoy those japanese tauhu!!

serve with hot steam rice..yummy! =)

my easy recipe: asam prawns

its time for a new recipe..i tried out cooking asam prawns..its actually kinda yummy! =) i decided to cook 10 prawns..jus nice for two...

things u need:

prawns

sugar

asam jawa

butter

honey

the simple steps:

peel the prawns..leave the shell on..mix a small bowl of water with asam jawa and sugar..dun put too much..diluted mixture is alright to avoid the prawns being too sour and having too strong of asam jawa smell...marinate for almost an hour..heat up a pan with butter..fry those prawns and once they are fully cooked..add honey to bring out more balance the sourness.. =) once all done..the dish is ready to be served!!

my easy recipe: tomyam bihun

its monday again!!! time for a new dish...its tomyam day!! =) again..the portions are for a couple.. =)

things u need:

1/2 packet of bihun

tomyam paste

salt & sugar

oil

onion

white mushrooms

baby corn

diced chicken (2 thigh meat)

small cauliflower

1 carrot

2 cloves of garlic

3 sticks of serai

5 chilli padi (depends on how spicy u like)

the simple steps:

boil the bihun and put it to set....heat up a wok and fry the garlic til golden brown..add in the chicken and stir fry till its 3/4 cooked..or for 3 minutes...pour those in the wok to a pot...add 2 bowls of water and the tomyam paste..the amount of paste depends on how thick u would like ur soup to be.. =) next put in the serai...leave it to boil for 2 minutes..den add in the carrots, onions, baby corn and cauliflower..once its boiling for another 5 minutes, add in the salt and chilli padi for taste and the white mushrooms...once everything is boiling and soft..its ready to serve!!! =)

my easy recipe : beef steak with black pepper sauce

ever since i started working in kl..i have also started trying out various recipes...very very simple ones..suitable for a small family =) im happy to be improving my cooking skills because food is the way to a man's heart..rite?? hehehe...

so every monday..i will b posting a simple recipe of mine..the amount is just nice for two..couple meals..haha..hopefully u guys wont find it too simple!! =)

today's menu

black pepper steak with french fries and toast bread

things u need:

2 rib eye steak

small packet of french fries

2 slices of bread

chopped onion

chopped garlic

light soy sauce

oyster sauce

black pepper

salt

sugar

butter

the simple steps:

marinate the steak with light soy sauce and some sprinkle of black pepper for about 30 mins..grill the steak or put it in a preheated oven at 200'..keep ur eyes on it to avoid burnt steak!! =) collect the juice that drips from the steak if possible..it adds flavour to the sauce..while the steak is cooking..deep fry the french fries till it turns golden brown..for the sauce..pan fry the onions n garlic till its slightly golden den add 2 table spoon of oyster sauce, a pinch of salt n sugar with 4 soup spoons of water...once it comes to a boil..sprinkle some black pepper and stir!! once all done...it ready to serve!!! yay!!

cream of chicken

this soup goes well with everything western..haha..a great dip for the bread!

things u need:

a tin of campbell soup (your choice)

the simple steps:

all you need to do is pour a tin of the campbell soup into a pot..one tin of cream equals one tine of water..thats the best measurement..once its boiling..its ready to serve!!! add some butter and pepper for more taste! for me..i love to add an egg =)

i got to hear about a promotion goin on in i-city..there is this snowalk (a big room turned into a winter scenario)..the usual price for adults are RM25 and that includes the fur jacket..but the gloves are for sale at RM10...but the promo is RM15 for adults..good deal?? so i decided to explore!!!

i am basically dealing with tap changers from transformers!!!

so i went tru a 4 days training..it was fun!

of coz i learnt a lot since i had my hands on experience..yay =)

it can be M type

or maybe V type

this is the motor that works the transformer

and this is the gear that controls it

i learnt about the switching elements too

all these are very new to me..

n im glad i feel a little smarter after this training..hehe

magic plant

since my room is air conditioned...mummy suggested that i place something with water in my house..so i had a few options...

1) a pot of water..haha

2) a bowl of fish

3) a pot of plant

i tot of the effort i had to put in..choice number one is easy but looks silly..i might jus topple over that pot of water..haha..choice number two is fun..but it will get dirty and i need to clean it often..oh no! the third choice is jus nice..no need to clean..jus add water!! =)

how to grow a pot of plant beautifully..

1) grow money plant since its the easiest..haha

2) buy the magic fertilizer

3) jus add water wen it gets dry.. =)

this is the packet of the fertilizer

soak them in water for about half an hour

tadaa!!

wen the fertilizer is bloated..

put in the plant!!!!

mine has survived awesome-ly for two weeks..yay!!!!

and the plant has helped keep my hydrated as well

cause the water help my room from being dry! =)
